The agreement, in plain terms
Terms of Service
By using TapWaterMap — this website or our public MCP server — you agree to these terms. TapWaterMap is operated by Squidcode LLC ("we"). The service is free and provided for general information only.
What the service is
TapWaterMap summarizes public records from the U.S. EPA's Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) into plain language. It reports what the EPA recorded; it is not a certification that water is safe or unsafe, not medical, legal, or professional advice, and not a substitute for your water system's official reports. See our Disclaimer.
Acceptable use
-
The website and the MCP server (
mcp.tapwatermap.com) are public and read-only. Use them for lawful purposes. - Be reasonable with request volume; do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or circumvent the service.
- If you reuse or cite the data, preserve its meaning — present it as EPA records, never as a safety verdict, and don't imply the absence of a violation guarantees safety.
